Washington DC Hall of Fame ANNUAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
for
DC Public High School Students
The Washington DC Hall of Fame Leadership Academy was started in 2009. This Annual October program brings Washington, DC (DCPS) and Public Charter high school students, selected by their counselors, who are planning to attend college or specialized professional educational institutions, to meet with our Hall of Fame Awardees. The Hall of Famers are a valuable resource for the next generation of DC leaders, providing mentorship, insights from their own experiences over their lifetimes, and inspiration and practical advice for the students who are embarking on their own futures.
In 2011, the Leadership Academy was renamed The Jack H. Olender Leadership Academy for our 2000 Hall of Famer in LAW, and benefactor - Jack H. Olender - who supported the program for many years!
Since the beginning, the Leadership Academy has been held at the Historic Charles Sumner School and Museum in Downtown Washington, DC.
